Spencer is an experienced litigator and trial attorney, having tried numerous cases to verdict. His practice primarily focuses on ownership, construction, manufacturing, wage and employment, governance, intellectual property, securities, and contract disputes. Spencer's cases often involve fraud, fiduciary duties, and other business-related torts. He also represents clients in governmental and administrative investigations, citations, and hearings.


In addition to litigating, Spencer advises and represents businesses, owners, and key personnel in various corporate and transactional matters, including drafting, analyzing, and negotiating various commercial and employment agreements and advising on corporate governance and regulatory concerns.


Before joining GHU, Spencer worked as in-house counsel for a venture capital firm, handling all aspects of the firm’s and its portfolio companies’ legal and compliance needs, which involved a wide variety of practice areas, including drafting and negotiating term sheets, handling all disputes and litigation, negotiating and drafting contractor and employment agreements, managing corporate governance and organizational matters, and overseeing due diligence efforts.
